THE NOVELS
HONEY WEST: A FRESH LOOK
by Gary Warren Niebuh

This is a well written and informative piece of work, containing a superbly researched and fascinating biography of Honey West’s creators—with insights into the creation of the character—and analyses of each novel. It should be noted that although the reviewer enjoyed the books when he was younger, in reacquainting himself with them in later life, he finds his feelings towards them have changed. In his own words:

“While I started this project with great enthusiasm, I must confess up front that I finished it with reluctance. Somehow my former enjoyment of these books has waned, so here is the warning: beyond here lie dragons.”.

Again, though, I stress that the site is worth visiting for the profile of the Ficklings.
Honey West - A Fresh Look
Thrilling Detective — Honey West

An overview of the character, forming part of an extensive—and comprehensive—collection of essays on fictional detectives in print and on screen.

The author is clearly unimpressed by both the prose and tube incarnations of Honey, but does attempt to examine her in the context of her time.

Honey West
— Episode List and Highlights
by Laura Wagner

A highly enjoyable feature on the “Honey West” TV series, written by someone who loves it. Laura Wagner not only provides synopses of every story, but highlights her favourite scenes and lines of dialogue. Well worth a visit to share in someone else’s appreciation of the show.
